Teacher or Tutor

Teachers and tutors ensure outstanding progress in one or more academic subjects, including foreign languages. They work with children, teenagers and adults (e.g. for university or language learning).

Teachers
Teachers dedicate themselves to one family for a substantial block of time (e.g. 20 - 40 hours).

A full-time teacher will hold the qualifications necessary to instruct in a school or university setting in their home country.

Tutors
Tutors charge an hourly rate for their services and can be more flexibly employed, though they usually request a commitment to employing them for a certain number of hours.

Tutors often work as teachers and vice-versa; however the qualifications required of tutors will vary depending on the age of the student/s and the required subject/s.
