Privacy Policy

Introducation

Probity Teaching Limited recognises the importance of confidentiality and the protection of personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to Probity Teaching and Probity Education websites and databases and explains how we use and protect the Personal Information we hold, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of your Personal Information.

Data Protection

The use of Curriculum Vitae’s (‘CV’) and any other personal information supplied to us by you and other users of this site is governed by our Privacy Policy. By accepting the Terms and Conditions, you consent to the disclosures of personal data to third parties and to Probity Teaching’s use of your information as detailed in this Privacy Policy.

In accordance with the new European Union (EU) law on General Data Protection Regulation we acknowledge the rights of individuals offering their data, particularly the sensitive personal information gathered during the recruitment process. 

Use of the Website

The information and services available on this site are provided only for the purpose of assisting you and other individuals in finding employment and/or assisting employers in recruiting staff. 

We accept no responsibility for the content or accuracy of the information that is available or is posted on this site nor do we make any representations in respect of the contents of this site as regards the existence or availabilities of any jobs advertised.

Probity Teaching in its sole discretion shall determine your compliance with the above and shall have the right to delete from the site without prior notice any material that it deems not to comply or to be objectionable for any reason.

Information Storage

Information that you provide or that is obtained by us through your dealings with Probity Teaching (Education) will be held on our computer.  We may use this information as follows:-

  • for statistical analysis for the purposes of reviewing, developing and improving the services that we offer on the understanding that it will be kept confidential by us;
  • to administer any services provided to you now or in the future on the understanding that such information will be kept confidential,
  • if we have a duty to do so or if the law allows us to;

We will take all reasonable steps to keep the information we hold about you secure, however, we cannot guarantee security online.

 

Your CV

If you post your CV details to our database we will, thereafter, submit your information to potential employers or agencies who are advertising vacancies, or whom we think may be interested in your services via our website or other means. We will provide you with details of all third parties and request your consent before we forward your CV or personal information to them.

You can and should update us regularly on the content of your CV and other personal information in the Registered User Section.  Please remember that this information is being continuously supplied to us by third parties.  It is your responsibility to ensure that it is accurate and not misleading.

Please let us know if you no longer wish us to publicise your CV or other information and we will then delete it from our system. However, third parties who have previously received your CV may have retained a copy in their own files or databases.  We are not responsible for their attention, use or privacy of your CV in these instances.

Probity Teaching has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this site, but to the full extent permissible by law, we disclaim all responsibility for damages or loss howsoever arising, loss of projects, loss of profits, loss of data or consequential or indirect losses arising in contract, tort or otherwise from the use of or inability to use the Site and/or any information or materials appearing on the Site.

You should note that certain links on the Site link to websites (hypertext links) that are not under the control of Probity Teaching and when you activate any of these you will leave Probity Teaching’s site. Accordingly, we accept no responsibility or liability for any of the material on any website that is not under the control of Probity Teaching.

We make no warranty that the contents of this Site are free from infection by viruses or anything else which has contaminating or destructive properties and we shall have no liability in respect thereof.

How do we collect and use your personal data?

When you register on the Probity Teaching website you agree to have your details stored on our database. Your data may also be collected through your contact or interaction with Probity Teaching. We use your data to assist you in your search for a teaching job overseas. We may also collect your data through your responses to our social media feeds, conferences and through third parties.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.

We use your personal information in a number of ways, such as to provide and customise the services you request and expect from Probity Teaching. The main service we provide is recruitment and as such the data you provide may be shared with schools that you are interested in. We will request prior permission before sending any data, such as a CV to a school recruiter. We will also use your email address and phone number to inform you of jobs we have that may match your search criteria. We may also inform you from time to time of events we organise which are pertinent to job searching. 

Information responsibility

Probity Teaching Ltd is the legal controller of the data and determines the purposes and means of processing. Probity Teaching takes reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction and keeps personal data accurate and up-to-date. In order to offer you the expected level of services, we may share your personal information among the members of the Probity Teaching team. There may be automated decision-making, including profiling, in order to tailor our jobs to the needs of our customers and to allow Probity Teaching teachers to receive relevant information.

Retention and Deletion

Probity Teaching will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws.  For certain data pertaining to a user account registered to one of Probity Teaching’s online platforms, you have control over the Personal Information collected and the duration for which your Personal Information is kept.  Request the restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal data about you, for example, if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.  You can also withdraw your consent, where this is the basis for our processing your data (without affecting the lawfulness of our previous processing based on consent).
